Can't take their eyes off each other: Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz looked smitten as they made their red carpet debut as a married couple for the The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Premiere in Madrid, Spain
They took fans by surprise with their whirlwind wedding last year.
But it looks like Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz's romance is taking a more public turn these days.
The pair looked gorgeous together as they made their red carpet debut at the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo premiere in Madrid, Spain.
Effortless style: Rachel showed off her tiny waist in a fitted black dress, while Daniel looked sophisticated in his pale brown suit
Rachel looked stunning in a fitted black dress which flared below the knee to a gorgeous mermaid's tail.
The 41-year-old drew attention to her tiny waist with a brown leather belt, while wide capped shoulders gave her outfit additional structure.
Daniel looked sophisticate in a pale brown suit and pale slate blue shirt.
Beaming with pride: Though they have shunned the public eye as a couple so far, the pair couldn't have looked happier
The Casino Royal star added a dapper touch with a red handkerchief in his jacket pocket, and was clearly bursting with pride as he held an arm around his wife's waist.
The couple have been very private about their romance until now, shunning appearances together and keeping a reserved approach to discussing the relationship in interviews.
They married in a low key New York ceremony in June, after becoming close while working together on Dream House.
Low profile: Daniel and Rachel were careful not to draw attention along with director David Fincher as they boarding a private jet in Paris earlier this week
Rachel was engaged to director Darren Aronofsky at the time, and Daniel was likewise engaged to producer Satsuki Mitchell, with whom he had a six year relationship.
Daniel had two inkings to commemorate his wedding to Rachel.
He told GQ magazine during a recent interview: ‘They’re two very personal tattoos.’
‘They’re just part of a stage I’m in. You should see the rest of my body. Then you’d be intrigued. Oh boy. It’s been a very complicated couple of years.’
Meanwhile it looks likely that The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo will receive a sequel, as it slowly edges towards recouping its $90 million budget.
A Sony representative told Entertainment Weekly that development for The Girl Who Played With Fire is still moving forward, despite the current Daniel Craig led entry in the series underperforming.
The rep said: '[Dragon Tattoo] continues to do strong business and nothing has changed with respect to development of the next book.'
