Downbeat: Russell Brand looked glum as he walked around central London today, as reports emerged that his estranged wife Katy Perry had partied in Hollywood on New Year's Eve

He donned a pair of thick black sunglasses, a blue scarf, leather jacket and jeans as he strolled the streets.
Katy Perry rang in the new year partying with a Russell Brand lookalike in Hollywood, a day after he filed for divorce, it has been claimed.
But her estranged husband was said to be holed up in his hotel room in London as the clock struck 12.
Russell, 36, emerged today, looking extremely downbeat as he ran errands in the city.

It's all over: The comedian filed for divorce on Friday, after 14 months of marriage

Meanwhile, Katy was spotted at the Soho House in West Hollywood on New Year's Eve.
The 27-year-old was laughing with friends in a private room, a source told the New York Post.
'One wouldn’t have ever even known that her husband had just filed for divorce.

Russell spent Christmas in Cornwall with friends while Katy was in Hawaii

'At one point, she was talking to a guy with long hair down to his shoulders in the hallway. They were talking for a while. She was smiling and leaning up against wall.
'After midnight Katy and a male friend got on the dance floor, twirling each other around and dancing holding hands. She looked like she was having a great time.'
The night out suggests the singer rejected popstar Rihanna's supposed offer to come and stay with her in her native Barbados.
Katy has not been photographed since last week when she spent Christmas with friends in Hawaii.

Miles apart: Katy was last photographed in Hawaii last week, before Russell filed for divorce

She frolicked in the sea as her husband was celebrating the festive period in Cornwall.
He filed for divorce at a London law office on Friday and sent out a statement citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the split.

Happier times: The couple were last pictured together at a benefit in Los Angeles on December 3
The split has upset several Hindu leaders.
Rajan Zed, president of the Universal Society of Hinduism told WENN: 'They should have taken marriage more seriously as it is a sacred rite in Hinduism.
'In Hinduism, marriage is the most important sacrament.
'If celebrities opt for a Hindu wedding, they should be prepared to adhere to the commitment, devotion, responsibility, sanctity and morals, which are attached to it.'
