With only a few months to go before the birth of their first child, Andrea Corr and husband Brett Desmond are revelling in having time together as a couple.

So when the singer's father-in-law owns one of Barbados's most upmarket hotels, no wonder the couple are staying there for a 'babymoon' before becoming parents.

The former Corrs frontwoman, who is five months pregnant, and her stockbroker husband Brett are among the many stars staying at the five-star Sandy Lane Hotel.

Wearing a black tie bikini, the 37-year-old singer proudly showed off her growing belly as she waded into the sea for a cooling dip.

After she and her husband, 34, enjoyed a stroll along the warm sands, they retreated to their sunloungers for a spot of reading.

Brett's billionaire father Dermot, 61, bought the Sandy Lane Hotel in 1997 and with his business partners, spent $450million renovating the property.

Although the Sandy Lane is a family business, it also holds special memories for the couple after they got engaged there during the Christmas 2008 holidays.

Corr's pregnancy was revealed in an Irish newspaper last month with the singer confirming she was expecting on her Twitter page.

The impending birth means Andrea will be the last of her Corr bandmates and siblings to become a parent.

Happy memories: The couple, who have been married for two years, got engaged at the same hotel three years ago

Older brother Jim, 47, has a son Brandon; sister Caroline, 38, has three children Jake, Georgina and Rihann, while Sharon, 41, is mother to Cathal and Flori.

Andrea and Brett, 34, married in a lavish ceremony in County Clare, Ireland in August 2009.

The singer wore Vera Wang as they wed in front of 400 guests, including U2 rocker Bono and his wife Ali Hewson, comedian Patrick Kielty, Scottish football manager Gordon Strachan and Irish golfer Padraig Harrington.

Last summer, while promoting her second solo album Lifelines, she admitted she was looking forward to starting a family.

She told the Telegraph: 'I'm as ready as I’ll ever be. And from what I'm told you're never really ready. You can't say you're not ready for ever, so you might as well go for it. If that happens that would be a priority.

'I'm not not allowing it to happen, if you see what I mean. I'm leaving it to He Who Knows Best, and she, my (late) mother. I believe she’s up there working away. I think she looks after me.'
